Renata Szkoda previously served as finance director at the Mike Novogratz-led crypto financial services firm.

Cryptocurrency exchange operator INX has named Galaxy Digital veteran Renata Szkoda as chief financial officer.

Szkoda most recently served as the director of finance at financial services and investment management firm Galaxy Digital (GLXY.TO). She also co-founded and chairs the Global Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency Association, a global association for self-regulation in the crypto industry.

“INX not only has a very talented, driven and experienced team to really put into effect what they set out to do,” Szkoda told CoinDesk in an interview. “But they also have a proven track record of issuing the first digital security in the fully regulated, SEC-registered environment.”

After acquiring Tokensoft’s Securities and Exchange Commission-registered transfer agent earlier this year, INX joined the select few crypto companies that can issue, list and trade securities plus support back-end administrative and recordkeeping processes required by U.S. regulators.

“[Renata] offers extensive experience in financial regulation leading finance, clearing, treasury and operations for broker dealers and brokerage firms across multiple asset classes including digital assets, securities, regulated futures contracts, foreign exchange products, derivative financial instruments and more,” said Shy Datika, co-founder and CEO of INX, in the press release. “Renata is the ideal fit for INX, especially at this crucial stage in our growth as a company.”
